The 2023 Alaska Open was held March 5-9, 2023 at the Sewailo Golf Course at Casino del Sol in Tucson, Arizona.
Some concern was shared with players about the course being a "tough" course, but it turned out to be fun and exciting as everyone faced the same challenges. Our scores possibly weren't our best scores (except for Gary Murdoch and other "A" players), but a little challenge is always a good thing!
The hotel rooms at the Casino del Sol were very nice, comfortable rooms and the location of the Registration / Welcome Party and the Awards Banquet were held on a large patio near the beautiful pool area. A dinner was also held in a banquet room inside the casino. The food was delicious, the staff was very helpful, and I heard some even won playing at the casino games!
The weather was perfect and we were so thankful since it rained the week before.
